The Basics - I, as so many other people, have always wanted more death frames, attack frames, and such for the player. Sure, the id one's where cool enough, but i wanted more.. one that really gave you a kick when you saw them.. If you are one of those too.. well.. it looks like your luck is about to change. Deathmatch eXtras is here!

The Game - It was about 2 weeks ago, at a LAN party with like 12 guys quakin' all day long, i found out about this patch. Dopefish ICQ'ed me, and since i was at a quite fast connestion that day, i though "why da hell not - it'll only take me 3 minutes anyway". After the download, i unzipped it, and ran it in GLQuake right away. Oh, boy, was i impressed! The intro demo was so.. so.. i mean.. damn.. it simply gave me a KICK! Cool music, cool sounds, cool models.. what more can a quaker want?! No, it's not a typo - it was no cool Quakec included. And believe it or not, that was the good thing about it! You see.. usually, when a patch includes models, sounds, and qc, it means that it's a server and client side patch, meaning that the client also has to have a copy of the patch, to connect and play. Not this time, honey! Cause this patch replaces the sounds and models, instead of adding news ones, meaning that you can use this patch and connect to ANY server, and still use the news sounds models, etc. That is a good thing. Now, guess what we ended up playing for those 3 days?

Kickin' it out.. - The other very cool thing about this patch is that you can delete what you don't want, and keep what you do want. Imagine you didn't like the new pain and deaths sounds [Even though they are the best!]. All you then had to do, was to open the .pak, and delete the files you didn't want. Can it get any better than this? I think not..

The Models - The models must be the best part of this pack, and then i mean the new player model. Now only do you throw away your weapon when you die, but sometimes you even take a 360* backwards, fly forward.. stuff like that. It really looks awesome, trust me. The only thing back to say about the model, is that it seems a "higher" than the old one. [that is, the original player.mdl] Hopefully, this will be fixed in the next version. [if there will ever be one]

Pros
